Method: User Interviews, Survey
At the beginning of the project, I conducted phone interviews with current users of the Nigenius App v1.0, to gather insights into their experiences, motivations, and potential pain points while using the app.
Additionally, I designed a brief multiple-choice survey targeting teachers and tutors from specific demographics who were unfamiliar with the Nigenius App. This survey aimed to better understand their methods for acquiring teaching resources and lesson plans for use in their schools.
Learnings
Users aim to minimize the duration required to access these resources to streamline routine tasks effectively.
Users want the process of creating teaching materials to be simple and effective.
Goal
Develop an improved UX and UI, focusing on delivering a more exciting aesthetic and touch, while attentively addressing the underlying challenges.
Improve interaction and navigation throughout the app.
Streamline the user journey to be concise and effective, ensuring users achieve their objectives seamlessly.

Usability Testing
I built an interactive mockup from the initial wireframes I produced, and conducted remote usability tests with 7 individuals, primarily stakeholders, to uncover potential user experience issues and verify that the product's key goals are reflected in the user journey.
Following the first test with 4 participants, I revised select design elements, considering alternative layout approaches, and verified these changes with the last 3 participants.
